(20 cm) square corn bread. <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Preparation time: 15 minutes.\u00c2\u00a0<\/i><i>Cooking time: 25 minutes.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>1 cup all-purpose flour<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00be cup cornmeal<br \/>\n1 Tb granulated sugar<br \/>\n1 Tb baking powder<br \/>\n1 tsp dried thyme<br \/>\n1 tsp crumbled dried sage<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00bd tsp salt<br \/>\n\u00e2\u2026\u201d cup milk<br \/>\n\u00e2\u2026\u201c cup vegetable oil<br \/>\n1 egg<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 400F (200C).<\/li>\n<li>In large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, thyme, sage, and salt.<\/li>\n<li>In glass measure, combine milk, oil, and egg; beat lightly.<\/li>\n<li>Add milk mixture all at once to dry ingredients; stir with fork just until dry ingredients are moistened but mixture is still lumpy.<\/li>\n<li>Spread batter evenly in greased 8-in (2 L) square cake pan.<\/li>\n<li>Bake in oven 25 minutes, until golden and risen.<\/li>\n<li>Let cool in pan.<\/li>\n<li>Cut into small cubes before adding to stuffing.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Herbed Corn Bread (Use for Turkey Stuffing) Makes one 8-in.
