This is the recipe for one batch:<\/p>\n<div>\n<table border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"103\">1 1\/2 lb (750 g)<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"324\">Ground beef, medium<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"103\">1<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"324\">Red bell pepper<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"103\">2<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"324\">Green peppers<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"103\">1<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"324\">Onion, large (5-6 in diameter)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"103\">4<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"324\">Celery stalks<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"103\">8 oz (227 g)<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"324\">Mushrooms, sliced<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"103\">1 bud<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"324\">Garlic<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"103\">4 cans<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"324\">Kidney beans<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"103\">2 cans<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"324\">Ground tomatoes, large<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"103\">1 can<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"324\">Diced tomatoes, large<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"103\">&nbsp;<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"324\">Canola or olive oil<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"103\">&nbsp;<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"324\">Chili powder, salt, pepper, cayenne, oregano, basil, Italian seasoning, parsley flakes, dried chives, roast garlic powder, ground habanero pepper, etc., to taste<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ol>\n<li>Chop the onions and peppers into bite-size pieces (1\/2 -3\/4 in long). Slice the celery stalks into thin slices. Peel the garlic cloves and chop.<\/li>\n<li>Saut\u00c3\u00a9 the peppers in a large frying pan with liberal quantities of canola or olive oil, until tender.<\/li>\n<li>While saut\u00c3\u00a9ing, empty the cans of tomatoes into a large pot and heat over low heat.<\/li>\n<li>Add the saut\u00c3\u00a9ed peppers to the tomatoes.<\/li>\n<li>One after the other, saut\u00c3\u00a9 the celery, sliced mushrooms, chopped onion, and the chopped garlic in oil, and add to the tomatoes.<\/li>\n<li>Drain the kidney beans and add to the large pot. Stir frequently to prevent burning.<\/li>\n<li>Season to taste.<\/li>\n<li>(Optional) remove a portion into a microwaveable dish, for vegetarians.<\/li>\n<li>Fry the ground beef until nicely browned, seasoning liberally.
